• Development of Sustainability/ESG strategies on governance, environmental / climate resilience / low carbon transition and social impact frameworks

• Development and execution of Sustainability roadmap and reporting framework aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs/Global Goals) and relevant global standards and benchmarks

• Shareen holds a Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership from University of Cambridge and Master of Public Policy from University Malaya

Past Roles

• Director of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability at Khazanah Nasional (2007-2016) 

• Spearheaded the design of a sustainability adjusted valuation model for socially responsible investments and value creation for Khazanah Nasional Berhad

• In Khazanah, incubated, founded and sustained two national level initiatives to address income inequality (Yayasan Sejahtera) and access to quality education (PINTAR Foundation). Initiatives supported by private sector in Malaysia

• CEO of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad, a talent and human capital government agency under the Economic Planning Unit of Malaysia under the Prime Minister’s Office

• 2003-2006 was the Chief Operating Officer of Mercy Malaysia, a medical humanitarian organisation with a global footprint. Managed humanitarian relief programmes across 12 countries including Malaysia

Chief Impact Officer

• Lilian has over 25 years work experience in stakeholder management, formulating leadership positioning for enterprises, and bridging social economic impact that is mutually beneficial with the aim towards commercial sustainability. 

• She has held several senior roles and has worked in New York, Indonesia, Hong Kong and the Middle East. The various roles includes development and execution in change management, government relations, socio-economic engagement and crisis management. Her steadfast passion is to help enterprises to establish a progressive and relevant brand culture framework that harness the company’s a long term corporate responsibility goal. 

• Lilian holds a MA in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester (UK).

 

Past roles

• Director Corporate Affairs, Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels (now known as Destination Resorts and Hotels, a Khazanah Nasional Berhad-owned company focusing on catalytic growth in the leisure and tourism sector) 

• Established the stakeholder engagement framework, crisis management guidelines and programme monitoring for the RM4.5billion development project 

• Implemented change management for the Group 

• Regional Head, Corporate Affairs, Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, Standard Chartered Bank 

• Managed bank-wide change management initiatives, investors relations and corporate responsibility programmes across the region

• Imran is a versatile business associate with expertise in content development, operations, and business development. With a strong focus on driving organisational growth and maximizing efficiency, he brings a strategic mindset and a proven track record in developing impactful content, streamlining operations, and identifying new business opportunities.

• With a keen eye for detail, Imran’s leads in content development, crafting engaging and persuasive materials that effectively convey key messages to target audiences. His ability to analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes enables him to develop tailored content strategies that drive ESG and Sustainability strategies and execution. 

• In operations, Imran demonstrates a strong aptitude for process optimisation and efficiency improvement. He has a strong understanding of operational workflows and leverage his analytical skills to identify bottlenecks, implement streamlined procedures, and enhance productivity. His ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate complex projects ensures smooth operations and seamless execution of business initiatives.

• Idris is a results-driven International Relations graduate from the University of Nottingham with a strong background in ESG research, analysis, and content development.

• With a solid understanding of global issues and a passion for sustainable development, he has developed a comprehensive skill set in ESG analysis, corporate sustainability, and responsible investment practices. With curiosity-driven research abilities, data interpretation skills, and a keen eye for emerging trends, Idris is dedicated to delivering impactful insights that drive positive change for organisations and contribute to a more sustainable world. 

• With a strong academic foundation in political science, public policy, and international affairs, he brings a comprehensive understanding of the broader societal and geopolitical contexts that shape ESG considerations.

• His interest and experience in ESG research and analysis positions are a valuable asset in providing valuable recommendations and strategic guidance to clients, enabling them to integrate ESG principles into their business operations successfully.
